August 29 moved into the New Boys & Girls Clubs of Kennebec Valley Sandra M. Prescott Clubhouse in Gardiner, ME
Surviving the COVID-19 pandemic; providing Child Care, academic support and food distribution. Completing the final phase of our GREAT FUTURES Capital Campaign, starting construction of our new Clubhouse.
Received the largest Department of Education 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant to establish two new programs in RSU12 (Chelsea and Windsor)
Began design work for the new Clubhouse.
Ongoing campaign fundraising toward a $10 milion goal.
Changed our name to Boys & Girls Clubs of Kennebec Valley. Began planning for the capital campaign for the new Clubhouse and upgrades to the property.

Renovated the Teen Center with a Lowe’s Renovation grant and two private donors.
BGCGG purchases Pray Street School. The first Clubhouse of our own. BGCGG received the Boys & Girls Clubs of America Organizational Charter. First Club chartered in the last 80 years in the State of Maine. The two other chartered Clubs were Waterville and Portland.
Became an independent corporation, no longer a department of the City of Gardiner.
City of Gardiner continues to lease Pray Street School. MSAD #11 considering closing Pray Street School.
City of Gardiner leased Pray Street School and brought all programs and operations to one location.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Gardiner (BGCGG) receives 501c3 nonprofit status. Programs operating in four locations; elementary schools and the railroad station.
Recreation Committee formed an affiliation agreement with Waterville Boys & Girls Club to begin developing a nonprofit Boys & Girls Club corporation.
